The same way Manchester united fans currently have Jose Mourinho’s name on their finger tips, so does the Hip Hop fans in Uganda and East Africa at large who grasped Daniel Kigozi aka Navio’s name.
Navio has mastered the art and what the Hip Hop family in Uganda wants to hear. This must be the biggest reason why he had to bring Garden city rooftop down in his music concert dubbed Njogereza Concert.
The Friday 09th September event that was graced thousands of fans brought together both local and urban Hip hop lovers in one venue and forced them all together speak the same language.
The 7 hours music action started as early as 06pm with the arrival and by 07:45 pm massive performances had started.
The fun and excitement continuously increased following the spectacular performances from different artists like Maurice Kirya, Keko, Vampino, zizza Bafana, Gravity Omutujju, Bebe cool, Feffe Bussi who brought the thrill of love for music to life.
Navio’s live band performance stands out to be amongst the best concerts and with the hit-songs like Nawuliranga, One and only, Revolution, Day ones, Njogereza, Tell me, MR.DJ among other left the fans with no option than jumping to the beat.
Navio’s successful concert breaks the record and all the odds that people had always said that hip hop music lacks market and not a trending genre in Uganda because if I may ask, where did that huge crowd come from.
The concert was not only set to prove the genre to the public, but it also served as a comeback platform for musicians like Keko who had taken long without appearing on stage.
