Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze will be flown back to Uganda on Friday.
This come after she successfully underwent an operation in South Africa.
Robert Kakeeto Namugera, Nambooze’s aide, confirmed the development.
“She will be in Uganda this Friday and those who would like to join us as we welcome her please.”
“Let us know we have to be at the airport as early as 5:30 am. Thank you,2 Namugera said.
On July 1, Nambooze travelled to South Africa following doctors’ comprehensive medical review.
A series of tests were carried out and she underwent a successful surgery last Friday.
She was put under a post-surgery observation until she was better to travel back to Uganda.
Parliament said the MP was eager to resume her duties and asked Ugandans to pray for her.
In her own words, Nambooze said she was no longer ailing but recovering.
Nambooze was first admitted at Mukono Church Clinic and later to Kampala with stomach complications amid fears that she had been poisoned.
