Nabakooba wins Mityana Woman MP race

Former police spokesperson and deputy police political commissar, Judith Nabakooba, was last night leading her rival in the lead for the Mityana District Woman MP race.

Fresh reports indicate that she is now the winner of Mityana Woman MP seat as per the NRM primaries.

Boda Boda riders decorated Mityana taxi park in support of Nabakooba.

Nabakooba was in 2014 appointed the Deputy Political commissar.

In her new appointment, Nabakooba was tasked with the Development of systems, Policies and strategies for effective operationalization of the department of political education.

She was also tasked to operationalize the implementation of the department of police information and publications.

She would also oversee, Monitor, and Coordinate the function of Music Dance and Drama.

The policewoman early this year announced she would contest for Mityana Woman seat in parliament.

In July 2015, she picked NRM nomination forms to run against Sylvia Namabidde.

According to provisional results from Mityana, Nabakooba beat Namabidde to carry the NRM flag for Woman MP.

We are waiting for official results from the NRM electoral commission.
