President Yoweri Museveni has said anyone who dares disorganise the country during the election period will be locked up.
“You try it and we will lock you up,” President Museveni promised those planning to destabilise Uganda’s peace during elections.
The president was addressing a select group of journalists Tuesday at State House Nakasero.
“Nobody will destabilise Uganda’s peace during the elections,” he said.
Reports also came up saying the president had told media that he would attend the second presidential live TV debate scheduled for February 13, 2016.
The presidential press secretary, Lindah Nabusayi, told Insider the reports were untrue.
“No, no. He has not said that anywhere,” Lindah said, explaining that the development would be communicated in case it came up.
