Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni is one of the African leaders, prominent people and organisations to get awards for their outstanding leadership on the African continent in a December 7 ceremony.
According to a statement by Davis Akampurira, this year’s Team leader and the Uganda Representative to Africa Leadership Awards slated for December 7, says whereas this is true, it is also undeniable that Africa has produced some of the most illustrious heroes and heroines who have engraved a mark on the hearts of their fellow Africans by exhibiting unprecedented leadership exploits.
“Leaders who have endured the test of time; leaders who have stood out to do the right thing even when others have chosen to do otherwise; leaders worth their name and salt; and above all leaders who have risen above the challenge to lift the banner of their nations, organisations and companies,” he said.
Uganda is hosting this year’s edition of the Africa Leadership Awards 2016 which aim at celebrating some of Africa’s prominent leaders (personalities, organisations and companies).
The ceremony will showcase men and women who have applied the best leadership modules and practices to reach unchartered territories, and established their supremacy on the shores of success.
Museveni will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award for the sacrifice he made to liberate Uganda, South Sudan, Somalia and DRC.
