President Museveni has left for Tokyo, Japan for four day official visit at the invitation of the government of Japan.
The President is accompanied by the First Lady Janet Museveni.
He was seen off by Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Katumba Wamala, the Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura and the Commissioner General of Prisons Dr. Johnson Byabashaija.
During their stay in Japan, the President and the First Lady will make a State Call on their Majesties the Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Imperial Palace.
Their Majesties will later host a Court Luncheon in honor of the President and his spouse in a rare show of honour.
Later President Museveni will hold bilateral talks with the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe who will also host him to a dinner in his honour.
