President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy was Thursday morning stuck for some time in muddy, slippery, pot-holed roads in Alebtong district northern Uganda.
Museveni is in Aleptong district where President Museveni is set to address a rally this afternoon.
By the time of posting this story, the president was in Otuke districts holding a rally.
The same president who this morning suffered the strain of inaccessible areas as a result of a terrible road network was yesterday talking about how his government has improved infrastructure.
Addressing a rally in Dokolo town, President Museveni said during the past 5 years the NRM has used 15,000 billion for the construction of roads and this has enabled us to build all the major roads.
He said that the building of good roads and provision of electricity and water would attract more industries and create employment for the people of Lira.
He even promised to construct more roads in Lango sub-region.
This financial year, the president said he was prioritising infrastructural development.
