Presidential advisor on media, Tamale Mirundi, has equated President Yoweri Museveni to God’s angels.
Mirundi who calls himself “unique” was Tuesday appearing on NBS TV morning breeze.
Mirundi started by praising himself saying he [an ‘uneducated man’] has never been dragged to court and his media appearances have remained popular.
“I have a political career beyond this government,” he stated, adding, “I am not working for money”.
The president’s dog then turned attention to NRM members crossing at night to opposition saying “Anyone who doesn’t identify with you during the day is not clear”.
Last week, 44 NRM Members of Parliament who lost in the NRM primaries, threatened to cross to Go Forward.
Others have already defected to Amama Mbabazi camp following the controversial October ruling party elections.
Mirundi, however, insists that Museveni who could find people to serve him while in the bush, can obviously find them now as president.
“Some people are suffering from shadow syndrome; when they see the president, they assume they are the president.”
He added: “President Museveni is a living saint, an angel.”
Last month, Museveni compared himself to the son of God, Jesus Christ while addressing press at State House Entebbe.
Museveni was praising himself for bringing Allen Kagina and Jennifer Musisi to clean up and reorganize Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda National Roads Authority and Kampala Capital City Authority respectively.
“So, I became like Jesus who went and controlled fishermen. He found them catching fishing and he told them, ‘come and I make you fishers of men’”.
Back in August this year, the deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon Jacob Oulanyah, said Museveni “was like Jesus Christ who abandoned the riches, glory and splendour of heaven to come to earth and sacrifice himself for sinners”.
