Museveni in Sebei over rebel attacks

President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander in Chief of Uganda Armed Forces arrived in Sebei region on Wednesday to assess security situation.

This comes after a group of rebels calling itself “Uganda Saving Force” [USF] attacked a police station in Kapchorwa recently.

The gunmen killed a police constable Akim Kaddu and injured three others.

They grabbed 90 rounds of ammunition and three rifles.

Another group of gunmen also attacked a detachment in Lokales in Karuta sub country prompting the army and police to deploy in Sebei region.

Presidential press secretary Lindah Nabusayi says President Museveni who was accompanied by the First Lady Janet Museveni on his visit to Sebei region.

The District Police Commander Kapchorwa, John Odokonyero, briefed them about attacks on Kapchorwa Police Station, briefed them.
