President Yoweri K. Museveni has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Northern Corridor Infrastructure Projects summit.
Before the summit, the President officially opened the new Uganda High Commission Chancery building in Kigali worth Shs8bn.
The investment will save the government more than Shs 400 million in rent per annum.
Before campaigning for Museveni at Barawa Parish, Kapchorwa town council in Kapchorwa district yesterday, Kenya Deputy President, William Ruto, said the meeting of Heads of State in Kigali today, aims at ensuring infrastructure development of region.
According to Ruto, the Kenyan side has finished a number of stages related to construction of Standard Gauge Railway.
He said there are major projects Uganda, Kenya governments are jointly working on.
“I agree with President Museveni on EAC. We are beyond closing borders between Uganda and Kenya.”
