Museveni consoles Entebbe MP who lost daughter


President Yoweri Museveni has today visited the family of the late Doreen Tashobya, daughter of Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Rosette Tumusiime and expressed his condolences over the passing on of Ms. Tashobya who died yesterday in a fatal motorbike accident in Entebbe Municipality.

The President said he was extremely sorry over the calamity that had befallen the family.


23-year old Doreen Tashobya was a graduand of Makerere University Business School (MUBS) who had completed a course in business studies and was currently working at her first job as a self-employed entrepreneur in the Municipality.

Hon. Rosette Tumusiime said that as she was on her way home from Parliament she witnessed an accident take place right in front of her and stopped to see if she could help only to recognize that the lifeless motorbike rider, Patrick Busingye, was one of her relatives who resided with her.


She added that as she inquired who the passenger was, whose head had been crashed beyond recognition by the speeding truck, it turned out to be her own daughter.

This tragedy comes after the same MP recently lost her husband Tumusiime Edward Gumizamu who was an LC5 councillor.

Burial of the late Doreen Tashobya is slated to take place at midday tomorrow Thursday 23rd June 2016 in Fort Portal Municipality Kabarole district.
