Heavy rains failed did not deter NRM Presidential candidate, President Yoweri Museveni from addressing a rally at Binya Parish, Odek sub-county, Omoro County in Gulu district.
According to presidential press secretary, Lindah Nabusayi, flanked by area MP, the deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah, Museveni refused to take shelter under the tent.
She says he instead carried an umbrella and continued to speak highlighting his party’s contribution to National development.
As rains intensified, Museveni asked the cheerful crowd not to get afraid of the heavy downpour saying it is a blessing from God to which the gathering responded with a roaring ‘yes’.
He asked the people of Omoro and the entire Acholi region to vote for him (the old man with a hat) and for all the NRM Flag bearers.
Earlier, Museveni addressed a rally at Awach, Aswa County.
At the same rally, he welcomed the new comers from opposition FDC and UPC parties.
President Museveni also shared a light moment with late Alice Lakwena’s aunties in Awach, Aswa County.
