Pope Francis has already performed his first miracle by making Ugandan opposition politicians rub shoulders with their bitterest enemy, President Yoweri Museveni.
The Pope has already arrived at Namugongo catholic martyrs shrine to conduct a papal mass.
President Museveni is also present accompanied by the First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
Also present is the First Son and commander of Special Forces, Brig Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
In a miraculous turn of events, presidential candidates Amama Mbabazi and FDC’s Kizza Besigye also turned up for the mass.
Mbabazi was seen talking to the current Prime Minister who replaced him, Ruhakana Rugunda.
It has been long since Museveni and Besigye attended a same function.
The candidates seem to be taking the Pope’s reconciliation message preached in Kenya seriously.
The trio suspended 2016 presidential campaigns to attend the Pope’s mass and recognise his presence in Uganda.
