President Yoweri Museveni’s aide is up in arms against a Daily Monitor cartoonist for sketching a caricature about his new job.
Atukwasize Chris Ogon, an award-winning cartoonist, is still famed for his political sketches drawn from current events.
This week, he is at the top of his game with two popular cartoons; one about Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga visiting her ancestral shrine in Busoga and the other about a newly elevated Senior Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama.
Don was promoted from Special Media Assistant in the office of the NRM chairman days ago.
In Ongon’s sketch, Don’s boss tells him to “focus because our enemy is still remains one…”
Don re-assures his boss: “Yees sir, that is a no brainer”.
The aide carries a bucket of “blackmail”, a “damage control kit” as he heads out of State House ready for duty.
The “blackmail” paint is manufactured by presidential advisor on media matters, Tamale Mirundi.
The cartoon did not impress Don at all.
He shared it on his social media with this message: “Atukwasize Chris Ogon, the STD that will kill you is still accumulating more poison! Total misrepresentation…”
We are watching the space!
