Members of Parliament have raised concern about embattled UPDF representative Col. Felix Kulayigye attending plenary while on suspension.
Speaking to Parliament on Thursday, Lubaga North constituency MP Moses Kasibante asked for clarification why Col Kulayigye was present in the house yet he is on suspension from the UPDF that he represents.
However,Deputy Speaker Rt.Hon. Jacob Oulanyah protected Col Kulayigye arguing that he was not given a formal communication blocking him from legislating.
“If the UPDF had suspended Col Kulayigye, they would have sent a formal notice to Parliament,” said Rt.Hon. Oulanyah.
Uganda People’s Defence Forces [UPDF] suspended its chief political commissar Col Felix Kulayigye on Wednesday for participating in a fake gold saga though conditions of whether he will stop legislating were not made clear to the public.
