The legislator and the scribes who were travelling with him were arrested from Parabongo, Lamogi sub county.

Sources say police cornered them as they headed to Apaa in Amuru district.

Other journalists followed the vehicle that was heading with the four towards Kampala and only gave up at Koro.

Hon Olanya and group were rushed to Bobi police post and detained.

According to multiple sources, there is a demonstration being organized in Apaa where months back women stripped naked to protest land grabbing.

Hon Olanya was among those who supported the residents to resist the demarcation of their land.

He even accused internal Affairs minister, Aronda Nyakairima, of plotting to “poison” for fighting on the side of locals.

Police reportedly suspected that Olanya was heading to Apaa to brew trouble.
