MP Kwagala: Men don’t ask me for marriage or sex

Olivia Kwagala, the Iganga District Woman MP, says she is not to blame for her spinsterhood.

Kwagala has placed full blame on men for not dating her for all this long leaving her to face cold lonely nights everyday.

Kwagala, the Member of Parliament Iganga on the NRM ticket was answering a question from her critics who demanded to know how she can go to parliament and represent them when she is even not married.

The teacher/social worker who has been brought up properly in a Christian family [she is a protestant] said men have looked on without asking her for marriage till this day.

“As a leader, I have tried my best to attract men to atleast ask me out,” she stated.

“I want to get married too but men are reluctant and hesitant to marry me.”

Emphasising that she has done her part although men ignore her, Kwagala explained that she has served people well despite being a spinster.

“They [men] failed to propose to me, what you want me to do?” she threw back the question at her critics.

Kwagala’s records show a blank marital status.

She has a degree from Busoga University [2010] and a diploma from Kyambogo University [1993].

She has worked before as a teacher and councillor.

In the Ugandan parliament, she is a member of the Committee on East African Community Affairs and Committee on Government Assurances.
