Police in Kayunga District has arrested Ntenjeru south MP candidate, Anthony Wadimba, who had gone missing for four days.

Wadimba was arrested on Wednesday afternoon following a search on claims that he had been kidnapped and killed by unknown people.

Police says Wadimba was found in Kabimbiri Trading centre, along the Kayunga-Mukono road where he had been allegedly dumped by his abductors.

His hands were reportedly tied.

Wadimba, a Democratic Party (DP) member was reportedly discovered by residents allegedly abandoned on the road.

The residents then reported the matter to police which later picked him.

Wadimba was detained pending further investigations as police doubted his claims that he had been kidnapped on the morning of the fateful day as he left his parents’ house where he had slept.

But Wadimba insists his abduction is politically motivated.
