Moroto assassin seeks payment in court


Akudo Lote, an assassin who is suspected of eliminating a former candidate for Nadugent LC V councillor seat, Raphael Eritoi, has written to court demanding for his payment.

Eritoi was shot twice in the chest on his way back home on the night of October 1, 2015 at Kambizzi village, Loputuk parish in Nadunget sub-county, five kilometers East of Moroto town.

Lote wrote to the Moroto Magisterial Court Resident Attorney, Gerald Amalo, asking him to secure the Shs4m fee from the person who hired him for the job.

Amalo told Uganda Radio Network, that he received Lote’s letter dated 10th January 2016 saying a one Paul Komarem alias Ssebagala hired him to kill the candidate but never paid his dues.

The letter was written through William Awany, the Officer in Charge Moroto Central Prisons where Lote is being detaining.

Lote claims his future is grim since he has been committed to High court.

He needs the money will help his family since he does not know how many years he will spend in prison.
