Monitor Publications has lost a photojournalist, Geoffrey Sseruyange, who passed away on Saturday at Kampala Hospital.
He was first admitted at Kibuli Muslim Hospital where he was treated for a long time illness.
Sseruyange, 40, worked for Monitor for 10 years.
Charles Odoobo Bichachi, the Managing Editor for Weekly Editions says the late always brought them “outstanding news images and captured some very historic moments”.
“We shall miss him and we will continue to do the thing that he loved doing – journalism.”
Aidah Nalubega, Daily Monitor’s editorial administrator and Yusuf Muziransa, the MPL photo editor and direct supervisor of the deceased, both eulogised Sseruyange repeating how much they will miss him.
The deceased is survived by three children, one in Senior Six and the others in Primary Four and Primary Three.
