Ethics and Integrity minister, Simon Lokodo, has dragged his Lands counterpart in a 306 acre land grabbing scam which has delayed the construction of Entebbe expressway.
Migereko allegedly falsified a land title in the field contested by Muwanga Omuwesi family estate led by Nakawa Mayor Benjamin Kalumba and the, Madhvani Group of companies.
The land is located in Kajjansi in Wakiso District.
Omuwesi family estate sought the help of Lokodo after top officials in the Lands ministry allegedly colluded with Madhvani to grab their land.
UNRA’s head of corporate communications, Dan Alinange, claims the land belongs to Madhavani yet Omuweesi family estate say Madhvani Group had a lease of 49 acres on the land which they got in 1960.
Lokodo told Daily Monitor that Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was moving to exhume more than 150 graves which he was against.
He said Migereko had told him that court had disposed of the case in favour of Madhvani and that UNRA was now dealing with Madhvani.
“Now that they even started lying, UNRA should not excavate the graves before we know who the graves belong to,” Fr Lokodo told Daily Monitor.
Hearing of the case on the same matter will resume on June 6, 2015 at the High Court’s Land Division.
Migereko has been in the news over matters involving land grabbing in Acholi region; districts of Adjumani and Amuru.
