Werder Bremen forward, Melvyn Lorenzen arrived in the country on Tuesday afternoon to join fellow Uganda Cranes players who officially kicked off preparations for two important matches coming up.
However, he will be required to go through the necessary processes to get the go ahead on the acquisition of the Uganda passport as per the Uganda laws.
FUFA, the player’s relatives and Immigration officials are handling the process well so far in a bid to secure passport for Lorenzen.
Lorenzen arrived with his manager Mr X aboard Emirates Airlines.
His family members-Uncle Alex Musiime and Grandfather Joseph Musaalo were also at the airport to receive him.
Five players who were being monitored by coaches Milutin Sredojevic, Fred Kajoba (goalkeeping coach), team doctor Ronald Kisolo and team manager, Crispus Muyinda, trained for 45 minutes in the City Paradise gym at Acacia Mall and later another 45 minutes at the Philip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.
The training started with gym drills where the players underway several aerobics and body conditioning.
Five players only attended the team training and these were; Dennis Iguma (Al Ahed, Lebanon), Faruku Miya (Standard Liege, Belgium), Murushid Jjuuko (Simba, Tanzania), Hassan Wasswa Mawanda (Al Shorta F.C, Iraq) and goalkeeper Salim Jamal (El Merriekh, Sudan).
