Supporters have already gathered in Mbale town waiting for presidential hopeful, Amama Mbabazi.
Supporters have already arrived at Pretoria Hotel to listen to Amama.
JPAM posters are already pinned in various spots in town ahead of meeting at Mbale Cricket Oval.
Boda bodas motorcyclists are riding around carrying JPAM pictures and rallying supporters to give him a huge welcome.
Analyst David Ofwono and Josephine Nkangi, Mbabazi’s spokesperson earlier appeared on NBS TV to discuss the Mbale journey.
Nkangi said Amama will carry out a tree planting exercise in the morning and hold a rally later in the afternoon.
“Amama Mbabazi is going to reveal his full manifesto once his rallies kickoff,” Nkangi said.
She added: “Now that Amama is an independent, we are going to see who his real supporters are.”
In a short statement, Amama said he would meet opinion leaders and families of FRONASA combatants while in Mbale town.
Ofwono on the other hand, said Amama’s issues that he raised in his 8 point program are almost the same as the NRM.
He also spoke on Maj Roland Kakooza Mutale’s militias.
“We find Mutale’s activities despicable and have discussed them internally because they don’t reflect NRM’s ideology,” Ofwono said.
