Amama Mbabazi’s lawyer Mr Fred Muwema has denied allegations that the break into his chambers early this month was an inside job master minded by himself.
Mr Muwema in a press release stated that neither him no any member of the firm participated in “that ugly and wanton” incident.
“The claim that Fred Muwema was paid shs 900m to undermine the presidential petition is utterly false and reckless. We are not in in the business of taking bribes. That claim reads like a stanza from some commical script, a reality we shall not interfere with,” the statement reads in part.
Last week, a statement was circulating on social media said to be authored by Social media critqiue Tom Voltaire Okwalinga (T.V.O). The statement claims that Mr Muwema engneered the break into his office after he was comprmised with a whopping shs 900m.
Outspoken journalist Mr Andrew Mwendah also alleges that the break ins were an inside doing, saying that he did private investyigation
“The public needs to know that our firm serves very many happy clients and it has also served and continues to serve Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi with loyalty and dstinction in numerous legal matters over the years. His presidential candidacy was just one of those legal matters the Firm has relentless handled for him in the past 10 months,” the statement continues
