American boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr., on Sunday morning frustrated his Fillipino opponent, Manny Pacquiao, in what everyone seems to term as the fight of the century.
The fight also dubbed the richest boxing game in history was put at about $180 million.
By a unanimous decision, the judges announced Mayweather winner of the welterweight title.
According to AFP, all Pacquiao did was chase Mayweather around the ring but never landed a sustained volume of punches as Mayweather concentrated on his defensive game.
Two ringside judges scored the fight 116-112, while the third had it 118-110.
“I’m a calculated fighter, he is a tough competitor. My dad wanted me to do more but Pacquiao is an awkward fighter,” boasted Mayweather.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, landed his biggest punch in the fourth round sending Mayweather scampering into the ropes.
“I thought I won the fight, he didn’t do anything. I got him many times with a lot of punches,” frustrated Pacquiao is quoted as saying.
All in all, Mayweather landed 148 punches of 435, while Pacquiao landed 81 of 429.
Mayweather remains unbeaten in 48 fights with a win that cemented his legacy as the best of his generation.
