Police in Otuke district have commenced investigations in an incidence in which a male adult believed to be around 25 years old in Olilim Sub County was yesterday speared to death.
It is said wrangles ensued over the distribution of five thousand shillings [Shs5,000] which was reportedly given by unidentified politician to a group of people.
This was confirmed to us by the Resident District Commissioner, Otuke Robert Abak.
Abak identified the deceased as Morris Opaka, a resident of Arum village, Angetta parish in Olilim Sub County, Otuke district.
He explained that Otaka reportedly had quarrels with friend at a drinking joint over Shs 5,000 an offer from a politician who police is still investigating.
Abak appealed to people to work hard and avoid depending on the money that politicians normally give to them.
When contacted the Otuke District Police Commander, Awio Darious, identified the suspect in their custody as Ogwal Jasper.
Otuke is a hot spot for politics this time.
