Men chained on Kampala streets in pro-Besigye protest

Men have chained themselves to poles on Clock Tower in downtown Kampala in protest of opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye’s house arrest.

The men are dressed in blue jeans and white “Free My Vote” T-shirts.

They carry placards with messages calling for the release of Besigye who is currently under house arrest at his home in Kasangati.

“We want peace. Free our president,” some of the placards read.

On their shirts are inscribed words: “Break the Chains”.

Police is already on the scene to contain the situation.
