The Chief Justice of the Republic of Uganda Justice Batt Katurebe has warned protesters against interrupting court proceedings.
Speaking to the Media early this morning, the Chief Justice further says that the people mobilizing such groups of people need to stop acts since judicial work.
“Whoever is mobilizing supporters to come and disrupt court proceedings should stop” Said Katurebe.
This follows the unruly Pro-Kayihura demonstrators who ganged at the Makindye court premises to block the trial of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura were was supposed to answer cases of beating Besigye supporters.
Gen. Kayihura and the seven other accused officers did not show up at the court premises and instead the complainant Lawyers and the other government official like the Makindye West Member of parliament Hon. Allan Ssewanyana, the Kampala Lord mayor Elias Lukwago among others were almost lynched at the court by the crowd as police looked on.
