Police is investigating students of Makerere University who over the weekend went out of their way and clobbered a former student to death.
The report was first publicised by a university website, Campusbee, which says the killing was executed by residents of Nkrumah Hall.
The deceased was identified as David Ojok who graduated from the same institution in January 2015.
He was attached to Nkrumah hall and worked in a Computer Shop known as “Polyac” in the nearby Kikumikikumi.
Ojok apparently returned to the hall to recover money another student owed him.
The Chairman of the hall, Marvin Mutungi, asked Ojok for an Identity Card which he didn’t have.
Mutungi then passed Ojok for a thief and made an alarm which attracted the others.
Ojok tried to run but was caught, dragged all the way to the entrance of the hall, stripped and stoned like a poisonous snake.
By the time police arrived at the scene, students had already split Ojok’s skull into two.
Police came in too late, rushed Ojok to Mulago but he was already dead.
Sources say this is the second person to be killed at the same hall, another suspected thief having been burnt alive sometime back.
Police has already commenced investigations by interrogating Nkrumah hall custodians and students.
