Tanzania president John Pombe Magufuli has arrived in Uganda ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing in ceremony.
Magufuli who is visiting Uganda for the first time since being elected president landed at Entebbe airport moments ago.
A welcome ceremony will be held for him ahead of tomorrow’s event at Kololo independence grounds.
Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta on the other hand travelled to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the World Economic Forum.
Rwanda President Paul Kagame who won’t be attending President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing in ceremony on Thursday will be hosting the forum.
H.E Hage Geingob, president of Namibia shall be jetting in today.
H.E Edgar Lungu of the republic of Zambia has accepted to grace the event.
Southern Sudan President, H.E Salva Kiir, H.E Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo -Equatorial Guinea, H.E Jacob Zuma -republic of South Africa, H.E Robert Mugabe, H.E Yan Junqi the vice C/Person of the standing committee of the NPC, H.E J.P Magufuli of the Republic of Tanzania are all expected to arrive today for the ceremony.
His Excellency Essozimna Gnassingbe of the Republic of Togolese has also confirmed attendance.
The King of Lesotho -King Letsie III and the Prime Minister of Swaziland, Dr. Barnabas Dlamini arrived on Tuesday evening.
