South African singers Mafikizolo is already in Kampala ahead of today’s Uganda Tourism Excellence Awards Gala 2015 dinner due at Serena Hotel.
Speaking on her arrival at Entebbe international airport, Nhlanhla Nciza said once again they had received a warm reception from Ugandans.
Known for their hit “Ndihamba Nawe”, the singers say they would like to have time and drive around to see the “real Uganda”, a chance they never got the last time they were in the country.
Mafikizolo will be performing live alongside the tourism ambassador and comedian, Kansiime Anne.
Tickets for the Pearl of Africa Expo are already on sale at Uganda Tourism Board offices in Kololo and Total Petrol Stations in Kampala.
General tickets cost Shs 100,000, VIP Shs 250,000 and Shs 2.5m for the Corporate Table.
The Tourism Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements of the tourism industry, giving recognition through the awards program as a way of showing appreciation for the hard work and dedication to individuals and companies that have led to the tremendous growth of Uganda’s tourism over the years.
It aims at promoting and rewarding excellence in the Ugandan tourism industry, ensuring the preservation of standards in the Ugandan tourism industry and creating a platform for the key sector players in the tourism industry to meet and network with one another.
Winners shall be announced today Friday, November 20, 2015 at Kampala Serana Hotel.
