Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] Secretary General Hon. Nandala Mafabi has written to House Speaker Rt Hon. Rebecca Kadaga introducing party leadership in Parliament.
FDC named a shadow cabinet last week amid fights, disagreements and internal bickering.
The party president Mugisha Muntu picked Kasese Woman MP Winnie Kiiza as the Leader of Opposition in Parliament [LoP].
He named the party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda as the opposition Chief Whip while Cecilia Ogwal was appointed opposition commissioner to parliament.
Defending his decision, Muntu said Kiiza is a team player and will represent the interests of the party.
“There is no crisis in FDC. The crisis is in some people’s heads,” Muntu said while appearing on NBS Television’s morning breeze programme Monday.
Muntu said naming a Leader in Parliament was under principle of ‘one struggle, many fronts’.
“It was a correct decision.”
