FDC secretary general, Nathan Nandala Mafabi, has been re-elected chairperson of Bugisu Cooperative Union [BCU].
Mafabi was voted unopposed during the BCU annual general meeting on Friday.
The poll was presided over by the commissioner for cooperatives, Joseph Kitandwe at BCU headquarters in Mbale town.
“Sisters and brothers I wish to inform you that the Bugisu farmers have entrusted me again with the leadership of Bugisu Cooperative Union as the their Chairman,” he said in a celebratory message.
He thanked Bugisu and God for his re-election.
Meanwhile, James Kutosi, Edward Wanambwa and John Musira were also elected as the cooperative’s zonal representatives.
Mafabi has served the cooperative for two terms.
