South Sudan rebel chief Riek Machar has taken oath, officially assuming the office of South Sudan first vice president.
The former warlord has now become the First Vice President and is expected to name his ministers soon.
President Kiir is expected to announce the new cabinet tomorrow.
The rebel chief who returned from Ethiopia today was sworn in by Chief justice Chan Reec Madut.
The ceremony was witnessed by President Salva Kiir.
The two leaders are expected to form a transitional unity government as per the peace agreement.
