Only female presidential candidate, Maureen Kyalya, has asked president Yoweri Museveni to get her a job.
“I won’t wait for the President to call me. I will call him and say ‘please mzee, can you post me somewhere?” she told a local radio, XFM UG94.8.
Kyalya is further quoted by the state owned New Vision saying this time she wants to enjoy her money.
“Every penny I have been getting has been for serving the people of Busoga so this time it’s about enjoyment.”
Kyalya conceded defeat and congratulated Museveni saying the next generation will pay a heavy price if they keep fighting.
Kyalya however agreed that elections were neither free nor fair.
“I don’t believe in serving Uganda only as a President. I’m not going to seat in my house for five years and wait for the next chance to run for presidency,” she concluded.
Kyalya becomes the third candidate to congratulate Museveni after Joseph Mabirizi and Prof Venansius Baryamureeba.
