Ugandan runner Moses Kipsiro has qualified for 2016 Rio Olympics to be held on August 12-21 in Brazil.
Kipsiro finished 14th at Hamburg Marathon, his maiden 42km race, over the weekend.
The long distance ace Kipsiro clocked an outstanding time of 2:15:48 in a race which was won by Ethiopia’s Tesfaye Abera in 2 hours 06:58 minutes followed by Kenya’s Philemon Rono in 2:07:20.
The three-time Commonwealth gold medallist has qualified for the Olympics for the third successive time Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Games.
He will be joined by steeplechaser Benjamin Kiplagat and retired boxer Charles Lubulwa who also qualified for Rio Olympics.
