The Uganda electoral commission has extended voting to 7pm following morning delays.

“Voting has been extended to 7pm at polling stations that have had delays,” the commission said in a social media message.

“Be clam vigilant and please be patient, you will vote.”

Kiggundu further denied blocking social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.

“We do not have the mandate to manage communications issues. please refer to Uganda Communications Commission.”
