Following the incident that happened at the Kapenguria police station where five officers including the OC station were gunned down by Al shaabab extremist, the Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta has finally released a statement about whatever happened.
In his statement, Kenyatta celebrated the life of the young patriots who died defending the country.
He further promised the families of the deceased support as soon as government completes the investigations about the scenario.
Kenyatta finalized by calling upon all Kenyans to be strong and have hope in the government since it’s still committed at protecting its citizens.
Kenya has been trying to contain growing extremism influenced by the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab group based in neighboring Somalia. The Islamic State group has also emerged as a threat after authorities said tens of Kenyan youth were being recruited by the group.
