President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Monday, 10th August 2015 address the Parliament of Uganda.
The Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah while presiding over the sitting of the House Tuesday, 04th August 2015 informed the Members that President Kenyatta will visit the country and address the House at a Special Sitting.
“Our Rules of Procedure provide for visiting dignitaries who include presidents to address the House. It is in that regard that the Kenyan President will address us on Monday, “he said.
Rt.Hon. Oulanyah called on all the Members of Parliament to attend the session and give President Kenyatta a befitting welcome.
President Uhuru Kenyatta was scheduled to address Parliament in June but the visit to Uganda was postponed.
The Ethiopia Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, will also visit Uganda this week at the invitation of President Museveni.
During the visit, President Kenyatta and Desalegn will hold a bilateral meeting with President Museveni and attend a business forum.
On Sunday 9/8/15 President Uhuru Kenyatta and President Yoweri Museveni will address a joint press conference.
President Yoweri Museveni, President Uhuru Kenyatta and PM Hailemariam Desalegn will also hold a tripartite meeting.
President Uhuru will address Uganda’s Parliament on 10th August 2015.
