A Truck driver has survived death after his vehicle was involved in an accident with a moving train.

It is reported that the driver parked his truck on the Kenya-Uganda rail line just a couple of kilometres from the border town of Malaba town yet there was an oncoming train.

Sowali Kamulya, the Bukedi region police spokesperson, said the Kenyan trailer Reg. No KBW-38W/ZD 2987 which was loaded with goods accidentally knocked a train on its way to Kampala.

Kamulya further noted that police is hunting for the yet to be identified driver who abandoned the truck and put to his heels.
“We eventually towed the vehicle and is currently parked at Malaba police station,” he said.

The truck driver was reportedly making deliveries of goods but accidentally failed to break and knocked the train that was also moving towards Kampala side.

Kamulya blamed the truck driver saying he failed to observe traffic rule.
