A Kenyan witchdoctor who predicted Barack Obama would be president of USA says he is sure the Kenyan will visit his ancestral home in Kogelo village.
The US embassy says Obama is not scheduled to visit the village contrary to what the all-knowing shaman, John Dimo.
After tossing some shells and animal bones on the ground, Dimo told amazed villagers: “The results indicate that Obama will come to Kogelo.”
“It’s a big secret, and he need not tell anybody that he will be visiting his ancestral home.”
Dimo added that the communication from the embassy was due to security concerns.
Kogelo is the home of Ms Sarah Obama, 95, Obama’s step-grandmother, and the burial place of Barack Obama Sr., his father.
Dimo said he has a good track record for predicting the future.
When Obama visited Kogelo in 2006 as a U.S senator, Dimo predicted he would someday become president.
“Believe me, I said Obama will become the U.S. president and it came to pass,” he gave his expert opinion.
He added: “Now, I can see he has planned to visit the village. He will come.”
Obama will arrive on Friday to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the capital of Nairobi.
In Kogelo, about 200 miles northwest of the capital, villagers have erected an Obama statue to mark the president’s visit.
