Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Makerere University for rehabilitation of the university roads.
Speaking to journalists during the signing ceremony at the university, the deputy vice chancellor finance and administration. Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, said the project which will be done by KCCA engineers, Stirling Civil Engineering Limited, will use over 6 Billion shillings.
This money was supposed to be given to the university during the upgrading of Makerere Hill Road and the two institutions have decided to use the funds to develop Uganda’s top university.
This very project will enhance university get safety and beauty.
Some of the roads to be worked on include Mary Stewart Road, Religious Roads which lead to religious centers and Lincoln stretch among others.
