KCCA closes Kizito Towers over filth

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has closed down Kizito Towers, downtown Kampala over poor sanitation.

The authority spokesperson, Peter Kauju, says they had issued several warnings to the management of the facility but did not get any positive response.

“We continue to remind all property owners, tenants and the general public to ensure that their buildings are kept clean, painted and the adjacent spaces maintained.”

He warns the building will remain closed until the required health standards are adhered to.

Kauju adds that several buildings are yet to be closed if proprietors do not take appropriate action.
