Kamya praises Museveni

Newly appointed Minister in charge of Kampala Beti Kamya has praised Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni, in what her critics have described as a sign of her being compromised because I had new ministerial post.

“Museveni is a very credible person, now I know him better, I will tell my friends about him,” said Kamya, who also doubles as the president of an opposition party Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) which she formed to advocate for decentralisation of powers from the central government.

As if reminding Kamya of what she ought to be doing, former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Kizza Besigye asked whether Kamya is asking president Museveni to reduce on his powers, put in place a federal system and/ or deal away with corruption.

” Is Beti telling Museveni we must reduce power of president, have a federal system, end militarized politics and corruption,” wondered Besigye when he saw pictures of Kamya, a former FDC Secretary General at the Cabinet retreat in Kyakwanzi.
