Kampala parent’s school revived its sports day yet another time this year by inviting other schools to take part in inter -schools athletics competition.
The school offers a complete curriculum whereby games and sports play an important part role in each class timetable together with physical education.
On Wednesday this week, Kampala parents hosted Kampala Junior Academy, Kisule primary school and Trinity Primary school in athletics competition at their home ground.
Much as different games are trained and competed in within the school, the school wanted to compete with other schools to gauge how far they have gone with their athletics.
The school has a good sports complex with facilities that cater for football, Volleyball, basketball, netball, swimming, athletics to mention but a few.
The schools competed in tag of war, 800m both boys and girls, 100m both girls and boys, 400m both boys and girls, 200m both girls and boys and royal race for both boys and girls.
The royal race was the most interesting session; the winner is determined from behind.
Trinity primary school at the end of the day emerged the winner.
Kampala parents school was first runner up beating Kisule primary school and Kampala junior academy that came last.
Kampala parents school emerged winner in Tag of war, royal race competition and 800 meters both boys and girls among others.
Trinity primary school won in most of the categories like 200 meters boys and girls, 100 meters boys and girls, among others.
Daphne Kato, the Principal of Kampala parents school thanked the participating schools for honouring the invitation and turning up for the competition.
She asked all the kids that were in the competition to make network and make friends from the visiting school for a better tomorrow.
She promised to organise more sports events and call more schools to attend.
