A report has been circulating on social media since morning of how President Yoweri Museveni collapsed last night at State House.
The report quoted a one Dr Diana Atwine saying Museveni “collapsed last night and was undergoing treatment at State House”.
It alleged that president’s healthy was deteriorating due to pressure from international community and rapid decline in his support across the country.
This was supplemented by Uganda’s most popular anti-Museveni social media critic going under the pseudonym, Tom Voltaire Okwalinga.
“Ailing dictator Museveni is schedule to undergo a minor medical operation in India tomorrow, before joining other heads of state on 29th for the African Indian Forum Summit,” TVO wrote.
According to this development, after getting “specialised treatment in an India military Hospital in New Delhi”, Museveni would then meet the Indian Prime minister, Narendrea Modi, to “help him get new allies in Asia since the western powers are critical of his rule”.
The allegation further cited the fact that China was also giving up on Museveni “because Chinese president last Thursday met Amama Mbabazi in London in presence of the queen and David Cameron and he assured full support to JPAM Campaign”.
Kagingo fires back
The report did not rub Sarah Kagingo who does social media diplomacy for the president, the right way.
“What do you earn from such spin? From peddling lies?” Kagingo wrote back on TVO’s page, somehow agitated.
She said President Museveni was headed to New Delhi for a 3-day official visit.
“Will attend the India – Africa Summit and on its margins hold a bilateral with India’s Prime Minister. Trade high on the agenda. Nothing health!” she clarified.
State House an hour or so back said Museveni had left for India to attend the India African Forum Summit.
Kagingo, TVO- a tale of parallel forces
In spite of her wars with some powerful and feared State House women, Kagingo still plays digital diplomacy for President while TVO on the other hand, does the critical aspect of it all.
Kagingo and TVO lead two parallel lines on Social media.
TVO, sometimes quoted by foreign media as the WikiLeaks, leads anti-Museveni sentiments while Kagingo has cut herself a niche in communicating the human side and Pan-African credentials of President Museveni.
A day does not end without Kagingo reminding her fans that Museveni, now locking horns with his former prime minister, Amama Mbabazi, is one of the most widely consulted African Heads of State on peace and security and a Senior Statesman in the region.
Kagingo, who is the founder of SoftPower Communications, a Public Relations firm, attracted a large fan base for her non-confrontational nature unlike several NRM spokesmen.
Tom Voltaire Okwalinga, to the contrary, is out to expose all the evils committed in Museveni’s regime by his close associates and state officials.
He is famed for leaking the spy tapes that embarrassed the Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura.
He has been instrumental in exposing corruption scandals of top government officials and demanding for justice in the eyes of a resigned population.
MORE UPDATES FROM TVO:
Arrest warrant for Mbabazi
An arrest warrant has been issued against presidential candidate and former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.
The warrant was issued on the orders of dictator Yoweri Museveni.
He is to be arrested the moment he touches down at Entebbe airport, and will face a cocktail of charges.
Mbabazi to be charged with murder
The former prime minister and presidential aspirant Amama Mbabazi will be arrested and charged with murder the moment he steps back in the country.
The charge sheet is ready and the case comes from the shooting of a man at his residence in 2009, someone who was described as an intruder at the time.
According to information I received, the regime is ready to seek the services of Interpol for an international arrest warrant, in case he does not come back
Amama Mbabazi personal assistant to appear in military court
The personal aide to former prime minister and now presidential aspirant Amama Mbabazi, a one Captain Emmy Katabazi was taken from his detention cell at Kololo in the middle of the night and transferred to Makindye military cell, from where he will be taken to the court martial to face some unknown charges.
According to the intelligence I have , the regime tried to have him denounce Mbabazi and reveal some “secrets” in exchange for huge sums of money and freedom, but he is said to have flatly declined, and they decided to slap serious charges on him that could keep him in jail for a long time.
US and UK call for end to Museveni rule
Many people have inboxed me asking about a reported meeting between Kizza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi in London, and what could have been discussed.
I shall not comment on that for now, but I can only state that I have information to the effect that the boys who have been keeping Museveni in power, and whose assignments he has been doing in places like Somalia, have now decided to dump him, and they are ready to do anything to see his exit.
The CIA told a senate intelligence committee hearing recently, that Museveni was planning a massacre of his opponents and that the country of Uganda was heading for a disaster if Museveni does not leave the political scene.
Chaos in Ntungamo as SFC soldiers disarm minister’s bodyguards
SFC soldiers sent by Janet Museveni to support her relative a one Justus Karuhanga who is contesting against minister Mwesigwa Rukutana in Ntungamo, have disarmed the bodyguards of the minister and after gave them a good beating.
The situation in this district like in many others is fluid right now.
