Kabale Resident District Commissioner and District Internal Security Officer have been dragged to police for threatening violence.
RDC Darius Nandinda and DISO Robert Nabimanya, are accused of mistreating a resident, Eunice Katabarwa, whose land they are trying to grab.
The piece of land in question is located in Katuna.
Katabarwa said RDC Nandinda ordered her arrest and that of her husband on two occasions.
She says the two government are conspiring with Katuna Police OC to take her land.
“My family is living in fear. The RDC ordered police to use force in case we go back on our land,” Katabarwa told police.
She said one of the officers wanted to buy that land from her at double price which she declined.
“When I refused his proposal, he engaged Nandinda to claim I bought air yet government has no title for that land.”
She demanded that Nandida and the DISO be imprisoned for using force on her family.
“If anything bad happens to my family, those three will be responsible.”
A case of threatening violence has been recorded against the RDC at Kabale Police Station under reference NO: 42/17/7/2015.
Meanwhile, the overzealous RDC this week threatened to arrest all supporters of Amama Mbabazi found campaigning at night in Kabale District.
He claimed Amama’s supporters were already campaigning before the right time and would be dealt with.
