A soldier from the Special Forces Command [SFC] has been arrested for shooting a trainer.
The soldier who guards the First Lady, Janet Museveni, shot a fitness trainer of the national boxing team [the Bombers] on Saturday.
The trainer was identified as Bricks Diamond.
The soldier, according to Major Chris Magezi, the spokesman of the SFC, was trying to block the team from entering the Cricket Oval at Lugogo Bypass.
The First Lady was meeting wives of police officers at the same venue.
Bricks who manages Life Fitness Centre Lugogo identified himself and his team but soldiers refused to allow them in.
An argument ensued prompting the soldier to shoot Bricks in the arm.
He was arrested and is currently under police custody at Jinja Road Police Station.
Bricks was admitted at Nakasero Hospital.
The Bombers are preparing for national trials at into Lugogo Indoor Stadium ahead of Olympics Qualifiers next month.
