We have learnt that the State Minister of Health for General Duties, Chris Baryomunsi, is currently planning a secret wedding in Kampala.
Baryomunsi is the elected Member of Parliament for Kinkiizi County East Kanungu district.
Although Baryomunsi is married to Fosca Twebaze, we are told the two never actually wed.
Official records say they were married in a Catholic Church ceremony in 1999 and they have two children.
Close family sources tell us that Baryomunsi’s political opponents just discovered recently that for all these years the minister was as well as not married to his wife.
It is said the revelation had started to take a negative toll on the politician’s votes in his constituency.
What is shocking more is the fact that the wedding won’t take place in Kanungu, his home area.
According to the source, the First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni, is likely chief guest but it is not yet confirmed.
“Everybody from Kanungu suspected to be in Amama Mbabazi’s camp is not invited.”
The wedding that will improve the fortunes of Fosca, a house wife currently, is likely to take place on July 29, 2015.
After the wedding, a thanksgiving ceremony will be held in Kanungu.
Born in Murama Village, Nyakishenyi, Rukungiri District, on 9 December 1969 to Aloysius Mpungirehe and Rosaria Kamayangi, Baryomunsi was raised in a Catholic family.
In 1971, when Chris was two years old, his parents migrated to Kayungwe, Rugyeyo in present day Kanungu District.
His father converted to Catholicism in the early 1950s, despite having been raised in a Protestant household.
