Jailed leader of DR Congo based rebel group, the Allied Defence Forces (ADF) Jamil Mukulu has been transferred to Luzira prisons.
Mukulu was on Tuesday transferred amid heavy security deployment from Nalufenya prison in Jinja district where he was being held after he was remanded, to Luzira Maximum Security prison.
Mukulu occassionally flashed the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party finger sign.
Before his transfer, Mukulu was arraigned in court in Jinja where where he claimed excessive torture by prison officials.
He also claimed being fed on pork and alcohol despite being a Muslim.
Mukulu was arrested last year in Tanzania where he was reported to be hiding and extradited to Uganda to stand trial over charges ranging from murder, abduction and crimes against humanity, among others.
